MALATYA. Prices for Turkish dried apricots are continuing their upward trend, and traders have no choice but to stock up even at the high prices. There is hardly any organic produce left.

Price increases continue

The price increases on the Turkish dried apricot market are still continuing. Commodity prices are rising by around TRY 5-7/kg per week and now hardly differ for the respective varieties; dried apricots, no 1, 2, 3 and 4 are all traded in a range of TRY 170-180/kg. Industrial goods are stable at TRY 40/kg, as large quantities are available, while the exact opposite is the case for organic produce – there are virtually no organic dried apricots available, and prices are around TRY 300/kg. Export prices for conventional goods have risen
