Sultanas: still worried

MANISA. As Ramadan has started trading is largely subdued for sultanas in Turkey at present. The current prices and limited supplies may very well prolong this situation.

No frost

Relief was palpable after the forecasted night frosts failed to materialise over the weekend. Temperatures, instead, remained just above freezing and even climbed at the start of the week. Daytime temperatures should rise to 15-20C (59-68F) and night-time temperatures to 7-10C ( 44-50F) this week. As the fruit trees started to bloom one to two weeks prematurely producers and traders are very much worried that frost may strike.
